Constitution

1. NAME
The name of the organisation shall be "The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club".
 
 
The definition of a disabled cricketer is that which is set out by the English Cricket Board?s British Association for Cricketers with Disabilities.
The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club is Controlled by the Cheshire Cricket Clubs Committee and supported by the Cheshire Cricket Development Scheme for junior members.
 

3. OBJECTS

The objects of The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club are to promote cricket amongst people with a disability.
This will be done by offering coaching and the opportunity to play for The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club at a level appropriate to ability.
 
 
 
Membership of The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club shall be open to any person with a disability who wishes to play cricket (playing members) and any person wishing to support the club. Playing members will be registered with the British Association for Cricketers with Disabilities.
 
 
 

(a) The business of The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club shall be conducted by a Committee consisting of:
      (i) Chairman
      (ii) Hon. Secretary
      (iii) Hon. Treasurer
      (iv) The Club Coach
      (v) The Team Captain

(b) A quorum shall consist of three committee members

(c) The committee shall have power to co-opt and form sub-committees as necessary.

(d) The Chairman shall be entitled to a second or casting vote in cases where there is equality of votes.

 
 
A. An Annual General Meeting of The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club shall be held in March of each year.
(a) To receive :-
      A committee Report
(b) To elect by show of hands :
      (i) Officers (see 5 (a) (i - iii))
      (ii) The Coach/Manager will be appointed by the Cheshire Cricket Clubs Committee.
      (iii) The Captain will be appointed by the Team Coach
(c) To transact any other business brought before it.

B. Notice of the A.G.M. shall be given at least fourteen days before the meeting.

C. Any member of The Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club shall be entitled to submit nominations for the election of Officers of the Committee with the consent of any person so nominated.

D. The quorum for the A.G.M. shall not be less than 25% of the registered membership.

E. No alteration of the rules may be made except at the Annual General Meeting or at a Special Meeting called for this purpose.
 

7. ACCOUNTS

Proper books shall be kept by the Hon. Treasurer showing:
(a) All monies received by the Association
(b) All sales and purchases of the Association
(c) All assets and liabilities of the Association
(d) All cheques shall require a signature from the Treasurer and a signature from one of the following : Chairman, Secretary, or Manager.
(e) An independent accountant shall be appointed to carry out such an Independent Examination of the scheme accounts.
(f) Any assets remaining on dissolution of the Club after satisfying any outstanding debts and liabilities shall not be distributed amongst the members of the Club but will be given to the Cheshire Cricket Clubs Committee for the promotion of cricket in Cheshire.
 
 
There will be a subscription for games and coaching sessions that will cover costs incurred by Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club.  These costs will be kept as low as possible to make the Club as accessible as possible.  In addition there may be a £25.00 subscription that can be raised by individuals through sponsorship.
